Widespread testing and tracing works only at the beginning when most cases are coming from out of country and you can isolate them.
At this point, only massive quarantines, ACTUAL quarantines, would work. But nobody will enforce a 28 day no bullshit quarantine because it's unconstitutional in America. The bullshit "shelter in place except for stores and walking your dog lol" will only slow the spread and drag out the economic devastation.
Preventing widespread infection and death is now impossible. And that's a good thing. Think of all the positives of having 20% of everyone over 50 dead, with that number skewed more towards the old:

>less medicare/medicaid/social security to pay out
>less old people to be a burden in general
>young people get inheritances decades early, before the old people can waste it on healthcare and boomer vacations
>at least a few politicians will get it and die, freeing up space for younger leaders
>old faggots taking up space in jobs where they don't contribute will die, and young people can start moving up the corporate ladder again
Plus all this supply chain shock that's going on needed to happen. This will incentivize companies to stop building their products all over the damn world to save fractions of a percent in costs and will put a serious damper on Chinese business growth. Hell, if it gets bad enough over there they might even throw out the Communist government and rejoin the modern free world.
