>hey guys, here's an official miner you can buy to support the development of the project
>or just DIY whatever you want, your call

Yeah, those guys are real car salesmen over there. Hit me with something harder little buddy.

My argument for Skycoin
>physical miners, hardware wallets and antennas
>anchored, real presence in this world
>actual effort required to connect across distances
>massive potential rewards via restructuring the internet service industry

That's if you want to pay the devs in BTC as an early investor to develop the platform.

You get a rebate in Skycoin though, so when someone pays that 1btc, they're charged 0.1btc for the miner (parts/packaging/shipping) and then they get 0.9btc back in sky.

This is just early investor hardware though, they're making unified board miners and other variants that will be cheaper.

Alternatively, there's also DIY miners, which is what I built. I spent about $200 on four nodes and I'm at around $160 for the first month of testnet rewards. Second month will get me to breakeven and we probably have six more months of testnet left, so a possible 5X isn't bad.
