When is all of my hard wagecuck work gonna pay off?

>be me
>3 years after graduating with a statistics degree from a decent school
>Contantly learning new design patterns
>Leetcoding hard problems
>Constantly adding projects to my portfolio (currently working on a text sentiment API).
>Still not getting interviews because only have code-monkey experience
>Still making less than 40k as a code monkey while working 50hrs/week and studying in my spare time another 35 hrs/week.

The bar has been raised to the point where you need to be have an Ivy League CS degree and 3 FAANG internships to get a decent job after graduating.

The boomers complaining about "fizzbuzz" coding tests (and still getting the job) would be flipping hamburgers at a Mcdonald's today,

I never said STEM is a trade. I'm saying that the current round of advice boomers are giving younger generations now is this horse shit. They realized that there are no STEM jobs because the kid who served them a Vente Caramel Mochiatto at Starbucks holds a degree in CompSci. They spent their whole lives giving bad "make it" advice based off their misconceptions of the job markets that they're disconnected from.

They refuse to admit that getting a good paying job in a vast majority of cases is not about hard work, but about being in the right place at the right time. They always chalk it up to "they didn't work as hard as me that's why they have no money."

You say this as if a STEM degree is worth anything anymore. You need to update your jew programming; complaining about kids getting useless degrees in 2020 is like complaining about kids not getting a degree in 2008. Now the new hot shit is to blame kids for going to school at all instead of joining a trade. I wonder what red herring will turn into a scapegoat once trades become worthless because of oversaturation due to Boomers giving Zoomers advice from the Stone age.

>"Why didn't you move to India where all the opportunities are like all the smart and successful kids?"

I say this as a CompSci graduate who after 5 years of experience, a portfolio of practically applied programs that my company has literally rolled out to replace it's old janky ass Java applications, and a constantly growing skillset since I'm always learning new languages just for fucking fun. You'll get passed up on even basic jobs like Data Analyst in favor of someone from India. That or a nepotist hire who doesn't know how to do the fucking job but it's fine because Apu lifts the heavy weights for him while he browses 9gag and imgur all day.
