Yeah you need a system and a pre determined portfolio structure to be able to take emotion out of investing. Additionally, and feel free to disagree, you are only truly investing if what you're buying creates regular income by holding it. If you are buying and your only way to make money is selling after price appreciation, then it is gambling.
