I got a meme degree that’s a dead end in the modern economy (Mechanical Engineering), it’s sort of like getting an English degree or a communications degree, it gets you dead end, low paying jobs.

What do other people with meme degrees do when they realize their mistakes? Do I really have to go back and get another degree? How do I show employers I’m not a worthless retard with a shitty degree that can’t learn anything or be useful?

I missed out on everything.

Friendship. Love. Sex. I missed out on literally everything, I wasted my life and I’ve got nothing to show for it. A 27 year old virgin with a pitiful $150,000 in 2022 dollars (basically $65,000 in 2019 dollars).

There’s nothing more sad to me than seeing men waste years of their lives mired in self destructive behavior.

Years and years of life lost to drugs, alcoholism, video games, pornography, scrolling your smart device, and the latest fad in the male self destructive landscape: happening fantasies. Young men spending hours and hours every day for years on end thinking about totally nonsensical events that will never happen, joining Internet forums where other young men encourage the collective delusion to continue. So many lifeyears, prime lifeyears, just tossed away with absolutely nothing to show for it.

The singularity isn’t coming. The squeeze isn’t coming. The mass vaccination die off isn’t coming. You have to face a very painful truth: you wasted years of your life for nothing. You fell for a self destructive meme that took years away from you during what should’ve been the best years of your life. You gained nothing by doing this.

I’m sorry to have to be so blunt about this, but someone has to pull you from the pit your in. It’s like walking through a crack house and seeing all the lost souls that threw away their lives away for nothing when I go to places like r/superstonk or some of the generals I see on this website. There’s no grand event coming, you were wrong, you cannot keep doing this for years on end. I know people just don’t have social structures anymore in the west and there’s no person in your life that’s going to tell you to stop doing this to yourself, so I feel obligated to do it. There’s nothing coming, now snap out of it.
