I'm importing a variety of candied flowers which I am going to sell to hotels, bakeries and restaurants.

Wholesale price is €46/Kg. Shipping cost per Kg is €6 and VAT is 5%. Overall the item cost is €54.

I currently have another job so I don't have any other expenses (storage, overhead costs etc). Is a 20% margin enough? Should I add more? There is currently no competition to this product in my country and I don't know how much to price it.

I am 25 years old and found a cool product for the hospitality industry. It does not exist in my home country yet, and I am expecting the first batch from the factory next week.

I don't have experience in sales.. I was thinking of giving free samples to hotel managers but not sure if this is the correct approach. How do people sell things to hotels and other companies? Do they just knock the business' door and ask to speak with the manager/owner? Is it better to go in person or send an email?

Anyone got experience doing this? Got any tips to help me?
