2017 shitcoin flashbacks

Remember when this was considered a blue chip. The next big thing. Disney's blockchain. Good old times.

Back in late 2017, I heard about trading cryptos and thought I could make a bit of money. I saw a lot of people who seemed dumb saying they were making cash, so I gave it a go. I figured it was too late to get into BTC so I figured I'd go for something else. I read for a few days about how it all worked, some basic strategies, how to move coins to an exchange etc.

So anyways, I sign up for coinbase, get the bank account approved, it takes a few days but eventually it works. I buy 7k worth of Ethereum since it transferred faster than BTC and I was going to send it off exchange anyway to buy a alt coin.

I looked through /biz/ I saw a variety of shitcoins being shilled, FUN, NEO, I remember the deepbrain thing too around that time. But there are two coins that will forever be stained into my mind and I will never forget. Dragonchain and Chainlink... I remember not being able to tell what was going on with chainlink, I thought it was like the other coins, didn't see anything remarkable. But then I saw DRAGONCHAIN, it had a so called "disney partnership", which was being talked about here. I had heard /biz/ was a lot faster with info than reddit or other websites, so I thought I was getting a juicy tip that would make me money.

I buy in dragonchain on a dip to $2.50 or so. I remember within a day or two my money had doubled. "HOLY SHIT!" I thought, I really thought I was a genius. I really thought it would be this easy. But then another dip came, and then a smaller pump, then a dip. "It will come back, it seems like a decent project". But it just bled and bled. It never came back. I totally forgot about crypto until late 2018 when I saw bitcoin was low. I threw a few grand in, thinking that it was the only coin that had any value. I sort of bought and forgot about it.
