learn to run a node (quite easy for laymen as well, just ask questions). The hardest bit would be anticipating what types of data would be in demand - it's really not much different than dropshipping

there appears to be interests in misleading aspiring small-time node operators to think node operation would a plug-and-forget endeavour like btc mining.

That couldn't be further from the truth unless you don't intend to make significant profit off nodes. Node operation would be more akin to a drop-shipping business, and your node reputation would be as crucial as the rating system for Ebay vendors.

Node running is high risk high reward but suicide tier if you don't have a way to secure temporary deals with providers yourself. It's essentially drop-shipping but for APIs so you need to be constantly predicting trends. You wouldn't be subscribing to one API and call it a day, but be constantly cancelling old subscriptions and contacting new ones (not to mention factoring the different pricing plans and subscription structure). As you can imagine it'll be absolutely tedious if you're not already a whale and can negotiate with providers. This is where the value of API tokenization and dedicated exchange comes in. There wouldn't be much need for negotiation - all you'd need to do is sign-up (possibly with your node id) and buy relevant tokenized API calls before the demand rises. It really wouldn't be too different than swing trading shitcoins on kyber/binance.

Start getting comfortable with the idea that data and APIs will behave more and more like COMMODITIES, even having their OWN MARKET AND FUTURES CONTRACTS. Tokenization and dedicated exchanges would indirectly provide liquidity.

My plan is to split investing into three things

My goal is to use my regular investing and home investing to retire early, then coast off that until my Roth and Social security comes in. I don't think there is a problem with retirement investing but I first want to make sure I have enough money I can access now if I needed it through regular investing. I might ramp up retirement investing once I hit $500,000

I plan to live a long time, I eat healthyish and work out. My dads grandparents eat like garbage and smoke like 2 packs a day and they are still kicking it and my moms sides grandparents are they same, also my great grandparents lived a long time as well.

Health is the greatest investment, If you assume you live 8 years longer and it takes you 8 years to double your cash eating healthy and working out could be a multi-million dollar gain.
