there are actual "people" browsing this board who still don't fucking get it, 14 years in. I will not bother to address the stupid FUD posted in this thread. Some are just literally too dumb to understand, and that is okay. They weren't meant to make it.

I always do the opposite of what Dumb Boomers do.
They said to avoid Bitcoin, so I bought.
They said to sell, so I held.
Turned about $10K into $100K.

Now I've been buying stocks weekly.
But recently, a group of boomers were talking about buying even more shares on that stock I've been buying.
They seemed full of Hope about the economy.
That means I've been buying trash and the economy is done for right?

Yes. Satoshi originally called it a timechain before the blockchain buzzword took over. The Bitcoin blockchain is just way of keeping time (ordering transactions) in a way that can be verified independently, amount other things. Without proof of work, there is no link between time and the blockchain.

I heard about bitcoin YEARS ago. Pffft, whatever. After having my ears perk up from news stories the past few weeks I decided to come here and read up a little on what this whole cryptocurrency thing is all about. Let me say, you guys are nuts... And I LOVE it. The absolute fun I've had reading posts and following the markets has taken up so much of my time, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I dove in with a measley $2500 a few days ago. $2000 in BTC and $500 in ETH, per your suggestions. As of this morning, I couldn't be happier. Just trying to hold on if there's a "market correction" as you all have been saying. I'm going to be a true hodler for the next decade at least while adding some coin in the dips. I'm 44 years old and if things go the way this sub says they are, I'll retire with some extra coin in my pocket to supplement my regular retirement. Thank you all for a fun time, you buncha nutjobs...
