I want to try D47 but from what I heard its almost the same as EC1118. Try oaking it. Oak chips on amazon are relatively cheap and there are so many types. I have dark toast oak and a chopped rum barrel but its totally upped my game. 14 grams for 5-7 days seems to do the trick. If you get the D47 just pitch a gram or 2 and it will finish it off where you wanted.

I brew meads and wines. We are getting a few hives for the family property and there are some apple and peach trees close by and plenty of prickly pears. Beer is alright but I'm a whisky/mead/cider guy.
