My only reason is that market likes to pay attention to the 200 day sma. If I use ema I'm going to be slightly off kilter with the meaningful line location in comparison to wall street. I only use it for this reason and not as any kind of indicator. I put on chart, sometimes price action encounters line, I wait and see if it's paying attention to line or no, if it appears to be I make move if everything else looks okay too.
