Does anybody have any experience with an HDHP + HSA vs a PPO? I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth it for me. I only go to the doc a few times a year, I'm 26 right now. I do need to be going to physical therapy though to work through some shit but haven't because of covid.

>HDHP + HSA
$2600 deductible, $5200 OOP Max
80 percent for doctor, specialist, and outpatient care after meeting deductible
100 percent of preventative services covered
Prescriptions are covered up to 80 percent after deductible
$50/mo. employer contributes only $600

>PPO 1
$2000 deductible, $4000 OOP Max
Anywhere from a 30 to 50 dollar copay for doctors and specialists (I see a specialist for PT)
80 percent for outpatient
$10 copay for generic drugs, $35 for preferred, $60 for non-preferred, $100 for self injectables
$80 dollars a month

We have a different PPO with a $500 deductible but is $122 a month so not a huge increase

I feel like HDHPs + HSAs are generally pretty based, but I don't really have the cash to max this out anywhere close and the $600 my employer contributes is basically chump change even with investing my money with an HSA. Thoughts? Maybe I should just make my own thread
