The thing about crypto currency is that the common holder of said currency displays a cult like attitude about their "investment", and generally have little to no financial knowledge. If I told you that the value of bitcoin is tied to tether which is tied to the USD, and the tether boys are committing fraudulent, deceptive, and non-transparent acts, what would you do? If bitcoin falls it's taking the whole market with it, and it's based indirectly on the value of the USD. Congratulations you've defeated the purpose of having an alternate currency. But wait, does anyone holding crypto care? No. They'll just keep buying and holding, patiently awaiting the day where cryptos become the most valuable trading tool on the planet and all governments allow this to happen and everybody bows down and worships them and then claps. All of crypto is a 100% pure speculative bubble formed by delusional bagholders and propped up by the false visions the crypto makers have fed you. One day, could be tomorrow could be 5 years from now, people will begin to realize digital chuck e cheese tokens dont mean a whole lot. They dont do anything. They dont produce. They're just an illegitimate forex, at best. And when that day comes, the whole charade comes crashing down with no chance for recovery. Itll be one for the history books though, you've got that going for you.
