Stonks have and always will outperform inflation. That's a major part of the market. It's the single best inflationary hedge on the planet.

Inflation is good for many things:
1) stock growth because inflation allows them to price gouge and because stocks are the best way to hedge against inflation
2) Transfer wealth to larger companies which is once again beneficial for the stock market
3) More consoomerism which is beneficial for the economy and the market

Sure, inflation is bad for the newer generations and the poorer classes but it's good for everyone with a stake in the market. That has been known for ages.

So you've had mostly a huge wage growth + Covid money + essentially free loans. And that is the average which includes poor people. Remove poor people (i.e., the ones that don't matter to the market) and I'll be you see much much better figures.
Most people that matter to the market have pathetically low mortgage rates that they refinanced during times of low rates. High yields on saving accounts. And high growth rates for higher positions. Yepp, there's a reason why the US economy is so strong.
Even us Europoors have insanely huge buffers since we had 10y of ZIRP and free money.
If you failed to amass wealth during the times after 2009 all the way to 2022, then what the hell is wrong with you?

Depression yes, but not recession. And we are nowhere near a depression. Hell, we ain't even in a recession. We have a strong economy and a strong consumer. We don't even have stagflation since employment and job market are so strong.
Gold tends to do well during recessions (statistically) but I guess the end of the "war" took the breath out of it.

Oversold like crazy. I am thinking at least a slight pump tomorrow and then it keeps dumping as it locks onto the lower bollinger

And then we have the pathetic ass rates in my europoor country. Inflation is also double that of the rates (and was triple that of rates just a few months back). I just can't win in euroshit.
Yeah, there is pretty much no reason not to sit in short term t-bills right now, getting free 5-6% per year. They are quite literally mocking us

I was looking at prices offered by cleaning companies. 500-700 EUR (per day) to clean an apartment here in Scandinavia and that was in a small ass town of less than 10k people. The rates are even worse in cities. A research assistant gets 1000 EUR/month isch.
Research assistants here don't get a full time salary but are expected to work full time + overtime. It's complete slavery. It was fine for a few months after graduation since you are a newbie but they wanted me to do this for a year+.

Inflation is steadily going down (sticky inflation ain't but who cares right?), dollar is extremely strong, tech is extremely strong, the market is strong, the economy has proven extremely resilient... yeah of course gold has stopped pumping. Should have sold when it made its pathetic journey to try to break the 2070 barrier
