Can either of you define "identity"?
I'm dead serious, this is a question for everyone in this thread.

What is identity?

>Orange man will save me!
You do realize this is the same administration that fucked up a coup with an easy target like Venezuela. It's like trying to shoot some fish in a barrel in then missing.

So, the government of a country decided to declare a jubilee year where all debts were considered null what would happen? Assuming this isn't a government default.

>The economy would fucking collapse because of no lending

But that is the thing, businesses would quickly reorganize on the fact that they do not have to paid previous debts and this would pass down the ladder as well.

>Bakery A no longer has to pay for lent resources
>Farmer it borrowed money to pay no longer has to pay for lent money
>Those that the farmer bought from no longer need to pay their debt

Essentially, all around the board would shift, and the only people that would be shit out of luck are those who lend money.

>Businesses would no longer be able to get loans in the future, you can only eat the rich once
But that's the thing as well, when loans are difficult to collect in general, collateral is offered or very terms are offered to the lender.

So, with loans being difficult to enforce, or if this was like a Jewish jubilee year inherently unable to extend over a certain period of time, lenders get more conservative, reworkings of contracts are offered, and collateral is mandatory on many occasions.

Am I missing something?
