HELFY anon here
I know Rocker called me out in his latest video... and called me a dumbass unworthy of being alive. He basically said I'm retarded because I can't figure out how to use Hello Fresh... but I have a rebuttal.
Yes, I maybe be retarded and a worthless loser, but HELFY does everything they can to try to scam you into spending money you don't have to. With the help of a customer service person, I was able to get both gift cards added to the account, and I should be getting my second box today...
BUT.. for my third box, they aren't letting me use the gift cards. The credit is there, but they AUTOMATICALLY applied a discount for a free box... but not free shipping. Where as if I used the gift card, the whole thing would be free. I'm tempted to chat with customer service again to make sure it just uses the gift cards, but also if I just go with the discount I'm paying $10 (shipping) for like $60 worth of stuff.
But then I'm wondering... is this food really worth $60 or even $10? It says "Four meals" but for me it's just two. And that averages out to $5/meal... which is not that great for something home cooked. For $10, I can get like 5 days worth of chicken tendies, and all I have to do is throw them in the oven for 20 min.
I guess I see how this company is profitable. They basically just throw random discounts at customers to confuse them... charge them money... and then hope they don't complain or cancel.
I sitll won't invest in HELFY, but it's a fucking clown world for sure

I am not thrilled with any of the meals that HELFY pre-selected for my next "box". If I hadn't edited my order, I would have gotten boring and cheap food
Maybe this company is good at making money...

Idk, I chatted with someone today who did some stuff in the backend. Seems like like the gift cards are added correctly now and my subscription is active again. It says the next food box will be free. Guess I'll find out if they charge my credit card or not... lol
I still would not recommend investing in HELFY. They seem to have decent logistics operations, but their software systems are fucked.
