Agreed. I don't know why they aren't illegal honestly, it is super bullshit. Not only that, but we unironically might collapse the whole economy if the algos fuck up and go haywire during another massive sell-off. It is dishonest and ruins investment and ruins price discovery.

What I am kind of most pissed about though is that tankers aren't doing buybacks right now. They got the money, this is clearly unjustified. Just do buybacks ffs and show yourselves to the market "hey, look! Pay attention to us!"

Normally I don't like buybacks, but this is basically like the one kind of scenario they were meant to be used for.
