I always reverse a weak argument, and OP's cherrypicked graph, from a time before electronic trading, comparing a 1 year span to a 1 day span seems like just the thing!

play both sides
when GME squeezes, the next play is to buy puts, simple as that

just dont short or buy a put while it's rallying up, that's the dumbest shit, high risk high reward, when you can just wait for buying pressure to die for a lower risk medium reward play instead

im sure you've noticed how HTZ acted when it was struggling to break upwards, eventually it was just holding then it dipped hard once buying pressure lost (more profit taking than shorts covering)

i bet you're the same fucking person i posted this pic for too

dunno why the fuck you kept holding after the squeeze was obviously not sustaining itself, im pretty fucking sure i told you it's predictable as fuck
could have just bought puts when it was dumping

if it didn't squeeze further today, it's already over
you were supposed to buy puts

better risk/management to just buy puts after it becomes apparent the squeeze isn't sustaining itself. Just don't actually short it
HTZ is still going to $0 in the end, the refinancing is just to help it file bankruptcy or whatever, they're still over 10 billion in debt

take advantage of your knowledge that most of retail dont understand what a short squeeze is

OK fuck. HTZ retards

what we thinking about this squeeze? I doubt it's going to be as extreme as the last squeeze

>I’m not selling until at least 30 or until Cohen does.
ok fren that's not really much different from my exit strategy in the end

definitely better to sell in chunks unless you wanna be the "winners" in OSTK with full regret for selling all Overstock at $10 thinking +100% was good enough.
definitely trim trim trim, don't sell winners entirely unless you're a clairvoyant god and know when the peak is at exactly

even if the dream infinite squeeze happens, a difference in selling time of a few hours could basically be a +100% difference

You people annoy me. You think shorts all act the same way, cover at the same time, and get margin called at the same time?

once you get past $20, just set stop losses on a portion of it? Adjust it up as appropriate but don't be too greedy or risk getting kicked out prematurely given it's going to be volatile as fuck.
If the squeeze really happens, then it's going to be pretty damn obvious when to take profits. Pic related, that's when you start selling all your shit in chunks after the 1st day of +100%.

Judging from previous short squeezes, you never want to sell too early because the first day is what will trigger mass margin calls and liquidations for the next 2 days. Pic related is HTZ.

at least 5x from the launch pad, maybe 10x given that a shit ton of shares are behind institutions, insiders, and activists. Potentially 20x if you want to be delusional.

does anyone remember what triggers the HTZ squeeze anyways? What kinda news made it fucking spike when it filed for bankruptcy already
