My dad called me a day or two ago saying he was worried about the stock market. He's retired and my mom was let go and they're really worried about finances. They have a bunch in US Minimum Volatility funds and some AMZN shares. My dad wanted my advice on if he should sell and just stick with cash.

I dont know what to tell him and I dont know why he keeps asking me for advice. All I do is lose tens of dollars on goofy trades, my actual retirement is in a 401k that I dont touch. What should I tell him?

Genuine question. I dont know what I'm doing and I love my dad but if he loses all his money I'm going to have to fucking pay for his CPAP machine and gabapentin and I dont wanna deal with that.
