If you like working with children it's really not hard. I've been doing it full time for five years while in college for the past two with no problems. You can make $20-$25 an hour doing it, districts are frequently hiring them because IEPs are increasingly requesting them for special ed kids. They hire as young as 18/19 as long as you have the qualifications (2 year degree or ez para pro cert). There's no path up unless you go back to school or find something better, so keep that in mind.
