US markets do a quasi lunchbreak too, if you pay attention to the hourly volume. On an ordinary day it drops way down around noon to one, then things kick back in to gear the last couple hours. I always sleep through the open, wake up around midday to see what happened and whether any of my stops or profit targets got hit, then make trades if needed during power hour. I used to be super go getter awake during the whole session. Turns out I trade way worse when I watch the opening stupidity. Settle down, figure out the direction for the day, then I enter the field to play.

Just voted in leaf election. They had the advance poll for my riding in a private school outside the city. It was nice. I should drive out to the sticks more often.
