in the short term, yes. everybody banking on crypto shooting up this spring or summer is totally delusional because nobody is gonna be thinking about investing in some weird speculative asset when the economy is shut down and we're all living under quarantine conditions with over 20% unemployment

in the long term, maybe not. this crisis could destabilize the US government so much that the dollar becomes less of a sure thing, and the economy might be changed so dramatically by people working from home and not going out much that a digital currency might become more in vogue than it is right now
