The Fed won't pivot. We are in for structurally higher inflation and long term higher interest rates. The last 40 years of ponzinomics are over, and now debt is becoming toxic, assets will keep falling, and the value of your labor will be the most important thing.

My landlord asked to raise rent and we told him no. Rents are falling here and if we move out and he has to search for new tenants he'll lose even more money.

Mortgage rates are rising and since most mortgages here are fixed for 1 or 2 years, when his mortgage rolls over his costs will likely double and he'll be making a major loss every month. Add to that house prices are losing $1k per day here. The guy is screwed and will probably go bankrupt.

I rent a brand new house. My landlord is currently losing roughly $1000 per day in value as house prices are declining, while his mortgage costs are going up with interest rate increases.

He asked to raise the rent and we told him no since average rents are falling here. He has a mediocre job and will probably go bankrupt trying to keep this property.

I have a highly paid IT job and can easily afford to buy a house but decided to let idiots like my landlord take all the risk and baghold at a major loss.
