Ok /biz/ give me the rundown of Fiat currency vs tying currency to precious metals, i have a basic understanding of both but im wandering why do economists shill it almost exclusively despite fiat's shakingness in terms of inflation and overall market price volatility and prefer it over metal standards in the long run.
