Here's the link I was thinking about: https://developer.bitcoin.org/devguide/contracts.html#micropayment-channel

It's called a Micropayment Channel and has been known about for many years (since well before 2014). Nothing too fancy, I can't remember what the flaw is in it, if there is one.

Note: Alice is the Vendor and Bob is the Customer in the linked example.

he's right. stability and law-compliance is needed to kick bitcoin into high gear with mega corporations. it's not going to 1000x from some hodlers or weed traders. if bitcoin doesnt have transaction volume in 10 years it'll become worthless due to insecurity.

also there is no BCH hard fork, there will however be a chain split. huge difference.

Nice to see someone else excited about the stress test.

BTC stuck at 3 tx/s while BCH zooms ahead with 30 tx/s, feels good man.

DO IT FAGGOT ----> https://www.scale.cash/

60 thousand transactions in the mempool at the moment. Expecting the DARI to bounce in BCH's favor, at least today. Should see a spike in hashpower if the miners are quick enough to react.

the cap is a parody of the make "america great again" caps that were handed out during the trump campaign during USA's 2016 presidential election

as for the text, it's true!

this probably got a lot of upvotes. though in reality BCH actually sponsored something while BTC did nothing (as usual).

the blocks becoming full was the main reason, business are leaving BTC left and right because nobody want to build on top of something that can randomly get super high fees. BCH blocks are small right now because it's only 10 months old, but businesses can look at all that free space in the blocks and feel confident that fees wont randomly go out of control.

there were also the ideological difference, to stay true to the whitepaper

deluded? i'm looking at every crypto video that comes out every day, reading most of the articles. the only crypto out there that isn't fueled by just hype and speculation is BCH. it's going to take a long time but more and more will wake up and smell the coffee.

you have a faulty image of the world. many people have heard that there's a thing called "bit corn" out there, but they think it's really strange that you can have your money on your computer and like change a text file and then you have more money

people don't know shit about crypto and even less know that there are two competing versions about bitcoin out. if you just sit and hold on your crypto without even telling people about it, good luck.

it is not a scam and has the backing of all the people that made bitcoin what it is today

long story short:
+ group A wanted to scale Bitcoin off-chain
+ group B wanted to scale on-chain.
+ group A have control over who gets to merge code changes
+ group B were forced to fork into their own project
+ now we have two competing ideas of how to scale bitcoin

since group B preserves most of how bitcoin originally worked most of the old users now support it.

lol'd at image

anyway of course BCH didn't skyrocket by today's upgrade. it's a serious crypto, not some altcoin that goes up and down like a yo-yo. it'll slowly gain value due to merit, not wild speculation or "pump and dumps".

how is it spam if the attacker pays for it?

1 byte is currently 1 satoshi. 32000000 bytes to fill up a block. that's 0.32 BCH you'd have to pay every 10 minutes.

and that only gives your spam transactions the same chance to get into the block as normal transactions so you'd realistically have to pay 2 satoshis per byte, so 0.64 BCH per 10 min

go ahead and spam Bitcoin Cash for 92.16 BCH per day sir. just 944455.68 USD worth per week. im sure that won't motivate more miners to jump from BTC to BCH either, sir.

personally i believe in bitcoin cash. it has a lot of support by old players that were there when crypto started. there's a ton of momentum with innovation and actual usage, which is key for long term success. at the moment there's a smearing campaign going on, keeping the price low, but i think people will come around. if btc doesn't do anything this year bch will absolutely replace it.

next month a bitcoin cash patch will come out, it hard forks bch and if the old fork remains on any markets (meaning that the patch has failed) it will show that the bitcoin cash future is not as bright as i thought it is. however im certain the patch will be successful, it certainly is a test for the currency though. check out reddit.com/r/btc if you wanna see what's up with bitcoin cash. the btc subreddit has been taken over by bch supporters because bitcoin cash is bitcoin and the /r/bitcoin subreddit is heavily censored.
