Can someone please recommend me any lectures or books about economics and finance?
I don't want to learn economics because I want to invest or anything, but rather because of the common saying that goes: "money runs the world".
So I thought it'd be a good idea to educate myself about how money relates to politics and how a state manages the money down to the business and employee.
I always asked myself for example if consumerism is necessary for our current economy to function...
