As the minutes ticked by, it became clear that John was going to break his promise and talk about bussy for more than five minutes. His friends were about to make good on their promise to donate $100 to his favorite charity, but just as they were about to pull out their wallets, John finally admitted defeat.
"I can't help it," he said with a sheepish grin. "Bussy is just my favorite topic, and I can't help talking about it for more than five minutes."
His friends laughed and shook their heads, but they knew that John was telling the truth. They reluctantly handed over the $100, knowing that it was well-deserved punishment for his inability to resist the lure of bussy.
