You have essentially every detail wrong but the general idea right, which is impressive. Elon is making low latency, low orbit satellite internet with over 9000 satellites. The constellation is currently being built with Falcon rocket launches, but the real fun begins when Starship starts launching 500 satellites at a time.

I'm kinda bearish on telecoms companies because Starship/Starlink exists. When SpaceX can launch hundreds of satellites at once for less than $10M per launch, how does cable or fiber even compete outside the densest hive cities?

Oh baby you don't know the half of it. Literally. Starship is just the upper stage of THIS.

Starship is made of stainless steel 4-10mm thick. You'll need a big rifle. And unless you knew exactly where to shoot, you'd probably just cause a small leak.

One person living on Mars is no more sustainable than Uncle Ted living in his shed. And you don't build a rocket like Starship to send one person anywhere.

You're right, space mining alone is a meme, because hauling things up and down a gravity well sucks. What Starship allows is space manufacturing, by sheer volume. Each Starship has more internal livable volume than the entire ISS.

SpaceX pays their employees in being able to have SpaceX on their resume, so they can go get a job at Boeing doing nothing all day and getting paid more.

Hard to argue with results, though.

Serious question. Do you not realize what Starship means for the Space Force?
