Partially wrong. I believe it's 5% for futures and possibly big cap stocks.
For indices, it halts at 7%, 13%, and 20%

idk, but check daily candles. check which way stock moves on days with higher volume
>1 day price chart
doesnt meant shit long term on its own, best i can guess is it will crab similarly tomorrow (or move with news, more likely)

>Long term is my plan. Also that it would help in retiring before 50. I'm in my mid 20's if that helps. Dividends seem like a good idea but I'm still new to this.
plan out a portfolio where blue chips with dividends are the main thing in your portfolio (50% of entire portfolio, at LEAST)
split the remainder of portfolio on index funds (DIA is a favorite because monthly dividends) and raw cash to sit on in case of a dip, and cash to spend on memes and options dreams (or just use dividend money alone to fund memes)
or just 90% blue chips and 10% cash, safer, probably get you more money in the long run, but its less "fun"
and if youre in 20's then just dollar cost average as soon as you can, like 10% of planned stocks a week, so your planned portfolio is completely funded by week 10 (or 10% a day so you are complete within 2 weeks, would be even better)
also the more often you can continue to add money to your portfolio (like $5 a paycheck every week or something) the better you will be (and of course, the more each week the better youll be in the future)

never try to time the market, it can stay irrational for far longer than you can
we have been "overdue" for a recession for almost 4 years now, but if you had waited to enter the market you would have missed out on so many gains in that time (SPY from 5 years ago would give you 150% returns, and thats not even from the minimum price within 5 years, just 5YTD)

waiting out of the market is only important if you are ninety years old and have no way to support your income besides stocks/savings in worst case scenario

you are the one who brought up republicanism = aristocracy

>the word you are looking for is "elites"
right back at you

>>Democracy doesn't presuppose some form of equality, you go back to ancient athens it was a very unequal society, but the toiling masses still had political power, and indeed political power over the elites. That's what democracy is about.
as does republicanism, thats the whole reason elections exist

but this is getting quite off topic for a stock market general

SPY
DIA
QQQ
IWD

DIA alone is more than enough considering how often they give delicious dividends

>>11534269
he plays with 6 figures shorting every day

he lost $20,000 when AMZN reported earnings last just, because his options expired one day too soon

if he made the same bet as he did last time, he made 7 figures yesterday/today

and he usually bear shorts most indexes, options volatility every day

>>11534283
feb crash was worse because it was all over in a day or two

ive been able to cushion my long term losses by buying TVIX and SQQQ every other day for the past couple weeks

still difficult to not capitulate, wish I did with AMZN yesterday
