BRICS is going to be a basket of currencies and commodities. Test runs are already happening right now outside the USD. The Saudi's for example has apparently sold oil to China for Yuan and then brought gold off the Shanghai Gold Exchange for delivery. This right here is the beginning of the end for the Petrodollar.

Apparently the Saudis are planning to sell their oil to China for Yuan and then spend that at the Shanghai International Gold Exchange for gold to bypass the USD. Nothing confirmed so far, but if true this is a massive blow for the petrodollar.
