How is my seed phrase able to recover all of my individual wallets whereas on MEW for exampe, my seed phrase would only recover my ethereum wallet, where as on the ledger I can recover each wallet (btc, ltc, vtc, neo, etc) with just one seed, how is this possible?

Do I just send tokens to my ETH address? Is that really all there is to it?

Is a hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano S basically just a normal security token but tied to a wallet on the blockchain ? Is this basically correct? Or is there more to it?

If someone were to find my recovery seed phrases for my hardware wallet, they could basically just steal all my crypto, right? How is this any better than a paper wallet?
