I invested in a wholesale investment fund, with my money divided into 4 seperate units, two global market units and two Australian market units, So far the global market unit has made me 1000, whilst the Australian market units have only lost me money, Should I move everything into the Global market ones or wait it out?

What purpose does a non-compete clause in the sale of a business serve other than to stymie the original owner from continuing in their (potential) career?

I've been offered $800,000 for my e-cig business. Or rather they're just buying my recipes. I'm taking it, obviously, but in the contract states I cannot start a similar business or lend my expertise to another business for a period of three years.

I've been at this for a couple of years, it's really the only post-college work experience I got. My degree is relevant to this field, and not being able to work in this industry for years means finding employment will be tough as shit.
