Nah, you usually only boil potatoes if you're going to make something along the lines of a mashed potato type dish. For baking, you can just straight up use the potato as is. For frying, in oil, you'll want to dehydrate it first (i.e. latkes: shred the potato via grater and squeeze thoroughly through a clean cloth or paper towel). Air frying is fundamentally the same as baking so you don't have to do anything particularly special.
