I'm gonna be honest, I still don't quite understand the downside to leveraged ETF's as explained above ( >>20674039 ).

Like, I get the math he's posting, but I don't really understand how it applies to the shares you buy of an ETF.

Take pic related for example. If I had bought a share of tqqq 10 years ago for a dollar, it would still be worth a hundred dollars today right? All the ups and downs between then and now wouldn't matter. I dont get how you're losing money if the stock eventually goes back up and always goes higher.
