I'm in all three, here are my thoughts:

EURN is the best bet if you have any sort of interest beyond the immediate term (which you should consider). Excellent market position and competently run. FRO is another good option from a value perspective and has a lot of positive interest at the moment which will bump the price if you're thinking more short term. INSW, well, is an odd one - they are soundly run but overly conservative in their approach (for example they're paying $0.06 divvies on $20 shares during an immensely successful quarter), but they don't seem to attract the same kind of interest others do.

Shop around, there are other decent buys in the tanker market too - although you've picked two of the more promising ones already.

I picked up a small amount of FRO (very cheap) and INSW (higher than i'd care to fess up to) just to diversify a little bit, but I agree with your reasoning on pretty much all counts.

Good luck anon.

There's some really interesting information in here relating to market cycles and so on (there's a lot of gumph too). One of the things that jumped out was the point about smaller ships - during downturns the roles flip and they end up pulling the strongest rates instead of the biggies. If we're anticipating a drawback towards Q4, diversified fleets could be king.

Couldn't agree more. I'm intending to stick around to see whether or not the stars actually are aligning for a new supercycle over the next few years - if they are, fuck me i'm lucky to have bought in near historic lows; if they aren't, by the time I find out i'll have collected enough divvies to move on pain free.

You'll be fine anon, not to worry

Wow! Yeah i'm holding Mowi/Marine Harvest, what are they like to work for? They seem like a very good employer.

It's interesting, in Scotland we have similar access to similar resources but we don't seem to be able to utilise it in the same way you guys do. I'd like to visit Norway when this all blows over.
