I work as a contract employee at one of the large investment banks in New York City. Things have been tense the last couple of days, we fully expected to come into work on Monday and get our walking papers, or at least get the news that we were doing to be transferred to some other company doing some doing auditing or some shit, but we didn’t. The company that I am currently working at had millions of dollars in GME losses and got squeezed into covering their $8 shorts at about $40, however they re-shorted it at over $300 and all these paper hands seem to indicate that the company isn’t going to take that huge of a hit. The Regional Manager of the branch that we’re at actually called all of the contract employees and many of the new hires into a large conference room this morning and said, “No need to worry about your jobs this week, GME tongues my anus, Jannies kill themselves, your mother will die in her sleep tonight if you don’t respond to this post, but your jobs are fine.” This coming week he expects QQQ and Nasdaq to crush all time highs as Biden fails to do anything and the market continues to spiral upwards like the unregulated wild Wild West.
