That's an interesting screenshot. So 74% of patients from this dataset go to the floor, basically a regular hospital bed, where they receive essentially the same treatment they would at home. 26% go to the ICU, 16% go into 8% into unspecified shock. It honestly doesn't seem that bad.

Out of that population of 264 patients, a 26% ICU admission rate is probably the same as the flu and I would bet big dollars that all of those ARDS folks are old, smokers or suck in dirty Chinese exhaust fumes for a living.

You're basically giving up 20 years of growth and compound interest for real benefit. A mortgage is literally the best form of debt because it has so many protections and provides so much utility ( a house). Like everyone else said you need to finance.
