It’s not as doom and gloom as all that, but it does make a compelling case for buying ETFs and not paying mutual fund managers their fees.
Which is one of the things that spooks me out of buying Kathy’s ark ETFs.

If nothing else you should learn not to pay for active management and not to expect to outperform the market consistent year over year. Which I apply by ALWAYS having at least 10k in VTSAX.

Basically you can expect to know a sector or two and a company or two very well. That might not outperform every year, but if you’re always watching it you should know when to buy more, and have confidence in your decisions.
