What keeps the prices of ETH 2.0 and ETH the same when the two chains are running? If people convert their ETH to 2.0, wont there be a sudden huge drop in supply of ETH, causing the price to skyrocket to be used in contracts. On the flip side, there is absolutely no use to the ETH 2.0 token aside from staking rewards for years.

I don't think I'm going to convert to ETH 2.0. What are you gonna do, /biz/?

being a dev is so fucking easy its a joke. I studied for endless hours in college getting a masters in chemistry (Canadian so a masters is actually valuable unlike the US). It's complete trash. Months of applying to get nowhere. I wanted to take a break before my PhD to better target in-demand industry skills and got pretty demoralized.

I studied for 6 months self teaching basic development and got 3 interviews after applying for one weekend. 2 job offers after that, starting at 70k, 4 weeks vacation, full benefits, fully remote etc. I have no idea what I'm even really doing and only work about 30 hours a week. Being a real engineer is a different story, but I just fling shitty CRUD web apps together. A complete brainlet can do this job. It's kind of sad because I don't really have a passion for what I'm doing but the work is okay. Just feel like I wasted my talent as a researcher, but I guess that's what the market wants...
