The most powerful structures on earth are maintained by circular arguments. Governments have authority because the law gives them the authority, the law gives them the authority because they established the law and enforce it. Fiat has value because the government says it's legal tender to settle debts and taxes. It has the authority to say so because the piece of paper which was written several hundred years ago called the constitution says they have power, they have power because they uphold the constitution.

This circular argument could easily collapse, we saw a glimpse of that during the capital riots, how easily it could be kicked over and destroyed. Politicians can be minecrafted, laws can be ripped up and destroyed.

Bitcoin, having value is also a circular argument. Peter Schiff is correct when he says it has no "inherent value". But Bitcoin, as a piece of software, doesn't say anything about if it has value or not. It just is the most resilient record keeping system the world has ever seen. It's almost like alien technology because there has never been an unalterable record ever in history. This is like apes discovering fire. It fundamentally changes this one basic tenant: history is written by the victors. Now governments are in a weird position, because if they try to fight this thing, they're going to lose, it would be like trying to erradicate covid with the military, it's already spread all throughout the world. Bitcoin, like a virus, as a record keeper is actually more robust than any military of government is. Humanity as whole could collectively agree to use it as a system of representing and storing value while being self aware, that it's just a circular argument, because there's no better tool. Everything else is corruptable. Even gold, because gold can be taken by the military. The military as a system is more robust than gold as a monetary system.
