I guess it would depend on where you're starting from and how well you pick things up. You can read a book take 6 day boot camps and pass the exam. Conrad, Misenar, and Feldman write good books just make sure you get a new one, this one is a couple of years old. Lots of places are hiring junior level itsec positions.

After 4 years verifiable work in any of the 10 domains you qualify to get a CISSP, which is essentially the same as a CISSA, but proves experience.
