The LS is actually heavier than the 1UZ-FE. It’s also over square anyway. With the LS you have to destroke the shit out of it. Also I doubt it’s stronger. The 1UZ-FE was a race engine turned passenger car engine. It has a ton of really cool features that give it a ton of strength. 6 bolt main bearing caps 2 on each side of the bearing cap with a cross bolt coming in perpendicular, it also oil sump girdle adds a lot of rigidity to the block among other things. It’s a really damn rigid block for aluminum. Remember, it was originally designed to be an Indy car engine, but was repurposed for road cars. Besides, it keeps everything Toyota.
