>What is it? Blockexplorer couldnt find anything?
it's probably the hash of some secret message.

Anon can do this to prove he owned some information now, without actually revealing it.

Later he can choose to reveal the hash's input and you'll be able to verify that it matches the hash posted previously.

When is the next Bitcoin Cash-variants split going to occur? And what will be the events leading up to it and the resulting hashrate?

My personal take: Calvin and Craig plan a hardfork to reallocate the 1M Satoshi coins to themselves without a signature, but disagree about their usage. Craig wants to use it to fund more lawsuits/patents and Calvin wants to use it to fund a giant Bodog casino in Antigua.
So Calvin splits off from BSV and renames his fork as "Bitcoin Bodog Cash" (BBC) which will be the only currency accepted in his casino to pay for games and strippers.

Hashrate repartition:
BTC: 95.4%
BCH: 3.4%
BBC: 1.0%
BSV: 0.2%

I get it that people take profits but I don't understand how some thing like Fantom which seems a low cap guaranteed moon mission has the amount of selling and general daily retracement. Is it just fucking accumulation bots or something. I just don't get the mentality to sell even a single Fantom at this point.

Help me to understand the pajeets please?

Think about it, we write something and 4chan is just reposting it.

Hi /biz/

I'm trying to put a very rough guess behind the intrinsic value of each link token.
Lots of assumptions, this is based on salesforce only providing API calls over the CL network.

Assumptions:
1) Node operators are paid only in link - for example if an API call is 1 cent USD it will require the equivalent value in link to transfer data and payment.
2) The statement about salesforce 50% of its revenue is from API's is true
3) Salesforce operating revenue last year was 8.39 billion

As node operators are only paid in link this requires 4.195 billion USD to be circulating within link.

There are 1 billion link tokens, this gives link a value of $4.195 usd each. This does require network adoption and expansion which will take several years.

Of course we know salesforce won't have 100% of calls on the blockchain, ethereum can't support more than 20 transactions a second (1.7 million a day).
Hyperledger on the other hand supports over 1000 TPS which should be suitable.

My question is
1) Will hyperledger use the same 1 billion tokens as the ethereum network? If it doesn't the bond market won't affect our token price as it won't run on the public ethereum network.
2) Do you think my reasoning is adequate?

I just thought of something.

Could the recent downturn be because, remember that big mining operation in China that got flooded? They probably have to sell a lot of the BTC they've been saving to basically pay for their rigs again. Maybe that started the initial bots/selling?

> I'll preface by saying I am a coiner and got in May 2017

So I was thinking about it earlier, and how exactly are cryptos going to be adopted in the "real world"?
Imagine for a second a shopping center near you. All those normal people walking around. All those major retailers. Maybe some small business and people of different ages/races. I'd say 98%-99% don't own any crypto. So technically, we are still early adopters (despite it being shilled all over media). However I started thinking about what it would take for it to be in every single person's phone.

I get bitcoin will be around. Bitcoin is basically a store of value. It won't be used as payments. The world population can basically use it as digital gold, and buy and hold some. Cash out when they please, etc. That's it. Ok so that is pretty novel and I can see lasting. But I don't see how it can implemented as a payment method. If it was really necessary, it would have been adopted. But the fact that it has been 9 years and it hasn't says a lot. Maybe in small businesses for a smaller libertarian demographic. Ok it can grow that way. But it is basically the millennial's gold.

Ripple I get - It is easier to send money through borders and have it clear instantly and not weeks. Ok that is pretty cool. Hard to make money and speculate on.

Ethereum is really an evolved version of Bitcoin. Smart contracts is definitely interesting. It became branded for ICOs.

But really step outside and walk around. How is any one coin going to get more traction than a fucking a bank like Wells Fargo or BofA?? It's fucking never going to happen (for payments I mean). Literally, what is the use case? Bitcoin has a use case and really is the only one that matters.

I'm still buying/selling crypto (namely alts) because there is money to be made and it is a ponzi. But any private blockchain being developed (IBM) is not REALLY a blockchain as a blockchain truly needs to be decentralized like Bitcoin. It's just a glorified database.
