What's the best hedge against economic collapse? Bitcoin is nice if you assume that global computer networks are still around. Next is gold and metals if global commodity markets still exist. What if commodity markets collapse too, though? The purchasing power of your metals would drop through the floor. So whats the next level? 7.62 soviet? I'm worried about fungibility and useful lifetime... also I wonder if there will really be as much demand for cheap ammunition as we might think. Economic collapse doesn't necessarily mean lots of combat. Anything else that's good to buy as a hedge? Not expecting a collapse necessarily, but the peace of mind is nice.
