in percentage terms, how diverse should your portfolio be?
i'm deciding on alts for buying later on, and felt like diversifying was a good thing, but i see it criticised a lot.
my current plan is 4 coins at about 13% each, 4 coins at about 6.5% each, and 6 coins at 3% each.

If you don't want to be homeless you must move units or predict prices.
To move more units get computers to move units for you. Do whatever productive thing you like to do at a computer and make something for the public or something an employer might notice.
To predict prices just look at when the banking system has to counterfiet more money to loan and when they raise interest rates to contract the money supply and predict prices by buying valuable things when the market panics, or just do good research.
Stay fit. Take the high road. Settle down with the girl you are obsessed about because when you get older you can't give a fuck about women because you are old and the only ones available are whores. Don't wait for it to get bleak.
