What the deal with there being 6,000+ different kinds of crypto? Isn't that market saturation? Companies are realistically only going to accept 5-6 coins max in the future right? Anything that isn't a top 10 coin will never retain or gain any value in the long run.

This thread is for some general questions about traders, exchanges, wallets, and apps I’ve been researching, combined with a little bit about what's been going on this week, and any other similar general questions. I’ve bought and sold some mutual funds a few times, and stacked a small amount of silver, but I’m new to the rest of the market. For Traders and Exchanges, the ones I’ve seen the most are Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. I realize some let you in with cash, but others you need to transfer in once you get some crypto. I also know most offer different coins and have different fee schedules. It looks like Coinbase is one of the de facto entry points, is that right? Is there any other one I should consider, or any pitfalls to be aware of with coinbase?

I have a Fidelity account that I know lets me trade Mutual funds, and I think stocks, but they don’t do crypto or Forex do they? (I know I could look on their site and dig around more, but I figured I’d ask here also to get any other relevant info I might not know or find on my own) I also set up a TD think or swim practice account, and an Oanda, but I think they require larger deposits to trade or no?

Next is the Apps. With all that’s been going on I learned about Robinhood, and was ready to get it, but right as I did, of course they pulled their stunts. So are people split on that? Is it worth still using, or skip it and use something else? What’s the next best similar app? Someone mentioned Bittrex, is that the same, any good, or again if not, which others?

Lastly are the wallets, what are people’s picks for software based wallets?

Will this trash ever dump? What is so damn bullish that the market is going up right now? The world is in ruins and this thing keeps rising.

crypto doesn't belong here. it is eating up many /biz/ inquiries. i.e. business owner and true /biz/ questions.
