It's been a while, but are you the alchemist? Seen your posts a long time ago. I'm big on nano and really the only crypto i'm into. Using it is just awesome. I'm only really interested in utility cryptos that will serve a purpose in the future. I was also thinking about monero. But I'm wondering what your thoughts are on how nano can be developed over time. Could it be improved upon, such as added privacy in the future. And how about spam/network attacks, or other security features.

One coin, using a model and consensus system of its own, fair, decentralized, permissionless, and best of all, able to scale, free to use, with a wait time under a second. With distribution better than BTC, without miner centralization or cost-efficiency problems from actual use and adoption. It should be obvious what the world needs right now. Decentralized Digital Cash that is immune to inflation and can be used as a cross border country. This in turns equates to a true Store of Value. The ultimate use case. The case that BTC failed in. This is the one, anon. This is Nano.

FTM, DAG, and other scams are only here to pry you from your money. Nano does what these claim to do but is actually battle tested and has had a working livenet for several years. There was no ICO. There are not any whales that got in early that have a motive to pump and dump it. Meaning when this moons it will be like BTC with most of the distribution scattered throughout the hands of people. There is a reason anonymous shills dislike it.

"Time flows like a river, and history repeats."

The reason why BTC has increased in value so much is because it is not specific to any one function, except value and the secure transfer thereof. Much the same, ETH is valuable because it is not specific to a single concept, idea, or industry. It can be programmed to do numerous things, much like a computer. These properties, along with the first mover advantage, make them potentially ubiquitous inventions, with use cases increasing as society and technology evolve. Coins that are specific with their use cases on the other hand, will unlikely ever grow at a comparable rate, outside of speculation and action from market movers, short term pump and dumps. Think Dragonchain, Po.et, BAT, DBC, Dentacoin, etc. They are inherently limited by design. Anything these coins do, can be done by either BTC or ETH on their own, or in certain situations when combined with a centralized database or structure. There really isn't a need for 90%+ of these coins to exist in the first place when a simple traditional based server works fine. Decentralized systems only matter when it comes to (a) wealth, (b) censorship, and (c) public immutable data.

I do like NANO to some extent, but I do still have the question of scaling. The lead dev supposedly did a succesful closed network test of 7k tx/s. In a real scenario, that number is probably somewhat lower until some lower tier nodes start to get unsynced. If the network starts to reach such limits (which is very possible if real adoption comes along) is there actually some way to scale beyond?

Instant transactions

Feeless

Decentralised, both in design, and in operation

Permissionless

Environmentally Friendly

Scaleable - to possibly 7000tps. (300tps has been seen on mainnet)

Simple - a User eXperience that even your granny could understand

Working today (not future vapourware)

Android, IOS, desktop and browser wallets

Securable on Ledger Nano S & Jolt hardware wallets

Easy for merchants to integrate into Point of Sale via BrainBlocks and Kite

Works even if you're offline, even with paper wallets

Can securely reuse Addresses

Not classifiable as a Security

On Binance and eight other exchanges

p2p exchanges coming - LocalNanos.com due on Aug 21st and PayFair

Would cost at least one third of its market cap to breach its security with a 51% attack

Awesomely-supportive community has contributed many of the above

Can be used as an arbitrage coin once on all exchanges

Lack of fees makes it usable globally e.g. in Venezuela where some coins' fees exceed the local daily wage

No inflation - All coins in circulation

Easy to run a node with cheap hardware - A single-board computer is enough like the Brainblocks Pod

No mining required that mess with graphic cards market

Several block explorers to choose from like Nanode or MeltingIce

Promising Roadmap with many points already solved

Driven by intelligent people with a clear vision and awesome Dev team

Transparent development where anybody can jump in and contribute

Protocol and many wallets are open sourced like Nano wallet company, Canoe, Nano Blocks and Nanovault

Being considered for Coinbase Custody

Near instant and zero fees makes Nano to maybe THE best currency to be used for micro transactions like gambling, betting and other online services
