ITT: We discuss our stacks, our goals and our worries.

I have 6k, bought at $1.
I just want to not have to work any more, my ideal life would be to buy a home and raise a family somewhere peaceful.
My only worry is what I will lean on if LINK doesn't dominate the smart contracts market as anticipated.

A common notion in investing is that of value investing versus speculation. This is used as a basis for discussing supposedly differing strategies of asset allocation for different types of investors.

As with many man-made differentiation, this is just an easy way for the human mind to falsely dichotomous a continuous spectrum to make it easier to understand. In truth all investments have a risk of failure and a large potential upside, so-called value investments are just those with a larger distribution of likely events around the less extreme outcomes.

Chainlink is an early stage investment and is useful because of its strong fundamentals to discuss value add and value capture in the early stage space. This can be extended to investments in general with the appropriate caveats that certain aspects of value add and value capture apply more or less to early versus established investments...

Facts only:
> LINK is the #13 most commonly held cryptocurrency on Coinbase
>All-time high: $4.54
>Typical hold time: The median time that Coinbase customers hold LINK before selling it or sending it to another account or address.
>2 days

My thoughts, this is only the 13th most held asset on Coinbase. The normie still doesn't get it. So, it's still early. That's the facts, jack

Don't fall for the brainlets who can't math. Extensive studies have already been done on the LINK token from an enterprise perspective. The numbers worked out by Sergey's team consulting with many of the Fortune 100 firms utilizing LINK zeroes around $45-60 a token at high network usage and staking. This covers a $60 billion network worth at full capacity, with room to expand to a $70-80 billion network "worth" 5-10 years from now.

tldr; don't fall for people selling you $1000 a token. A kid who doesn't shower and owns 30k tokens is not going to be worth $30 million and ascend into the upper class. Don't be naive and use your brains

are there any actual no-linkers on /biz/? what would possess someone to post here and just ignore chainlink forever? i understand if someone is a good trader i'm sure there are quite a few on this board who know how to get into pump and dumps early, or people who will buy things before they bounce off of a support like. there have been some moon missions even in the middle of the bear market.

but i cant wrap my head abount /biz/raelis who have posted here for any decent amount of time and who had 0 interest in link. did the FUD really work that well? did people think we talked about something that we actually didn't like all day every day for 2 years?

Honestly, buy LINK. You're investing in key infrastructure, without which blockchain/DLT and legacy systems will always remain walled gardens.

>Mainnet live with only three nodes pinging every 5 mins
>We know this because of the explorer with one job run ID
>These jobs apparently print to eth with small link amount transferred

Can we write some kind of script that screens etherscan link token transfers under a certain amount and tries to track them to other shit that might be undergoing mainnet testing on the chainlink network?

I would guess that the link with the jobrun ID that has been circulated is only for the ETH price every 5 minutes job, right?

Explain to a brainlet

if the same three nodes keep pumping out the same three irrelevant, non-requested tasks for the next month, what's your plan?

Its one thing to keep development under wraps and serve those who fund you. Fine.

Its a completely different thing to say you have hundreds of teams waiting on data and then launch your mainnet with a call to the community about what kind of data they'd like.

The professionalism threshold has been crossed. Its now arrogance.

Self explanatory, use your head. If partnerships are announced, it will still take 1-2 years for network activity to pump up. You still have 1-2 years to accumulate

Honestly it wasn't the tech that convinced me. I am not a computer science guy and only understand the tech slowly and vaguely. For me it was the partners and the use-cases. Chainlink's market is vast, unexplored territory and they are the first mover with what appears to be major institutional backing.

If something 'like' chainlink never exists, then blockchains will always remain closed systems. Can you imagine a world with, fundamentally, two completely different systems, unable to communicate with one another? Sounds unrealistic on its face, at least over a large enough period of time. Chainlink is trying to bridge the gap and take the blockchain tech to the next level... meaning true mainstream adoption by real world companies. It was always said in the early BTC days that one day real world normies would be using blockchain every day without every knowing it. And that's the vision that Chainlink can help realize.

Hi fellow linkanons. I have a decent sized stack of link (just over 100k) which is very important to me mostly because I lost my wife and kid over it (long story but I was putting $ into crypto behind wifes back and she did not approve when she found out). Anyway it's all I have now and I'm super excited about it mooning.

A week or so ago I saw a post from another anon saying the most safe place to put my LINK was the Monero wallet because it's blockchain agnostic and can be stored anywhere, so I moved it to a Monero wallet and I figured that was that. Today I went to check on it just because I saw the price has gone up so much and I don't see it in my wallet. Can some anon help me figure out how to see ERC20 tokens in your Monero wallet? Thanks in advance.
