Curiously, the fall and rise in the miners during the 2008 collapse coincides quite closely with the price of silver. Both miners and silver plummet in July 2008, and then recover again only in 2009. But silver has recovered a lot more quickly this time--only four months to make a full recovery. Mean-while, the miners are already making new highs. So circumstances are not repeating themselves exactly.
