If you're being serious, read "The Sovereign Individual: Mastering the Transition to the Information Age" (make sure it's the version with a blue, white, and orange cover - the other one sucks). Two guys in the late 90's took concepts such as public-key cryptography and extrapolated out conclusions that developments in these technologies would inevitably lead to. You may not agree with all of their conclusions, but you will still get a lot out of it in terms of where crypto may lead us from our current point.
